Hi, I'm Melissa, the artist and baker behind The Painted Confection!

My journey into the world of decorated sweets began with a love for both baking and art. With a background in fine arts, I've always enjoyed creating, painting, and working with my hands. Over the years, I found a way to combine those passions through decorated cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and other sweet treats.

I specialize in creating custom desserts that are made to feel personal to each celebration. From intricately decorated sugar cookies and hand-painted details to floral cupcakes, custom cakes, and other treats, I love taking an idea and turning it into something beautiful—and delicious!

Some of my favorite creations are the ones that allow me to bring my artistic background into my baking. I especially love watercolor-inspired designs, hand-painted cookies, florals, and all of the tiny details that make a dessert truly unique. I've had the opportunity to create treats for everything from birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and graduations to holidays, corporate events, concerts, musicians, comedians, and so many other special occasions.

For me, this business has always been about more than making something sweet. It's about being a small part of life's celebrations and creating something that helps make those moments a little more memorable.
